We are delighted to announce a special Piano Masterclass conducted by Dr. Minjun Dong, a distinguished piano lecturer from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, on August 17, 2024. Dr. Dong is not only an accomplished pianist but also an experienced educator. She will share her invaluable musical knowledge and performance techniques to help students enhance their piano skills.
Dr. Minjun Dong began her piano journey at the age of 4 under the guidance of renowned piano educator Yang Hanguo. He earned His Bachelor's (BM) and Master's (MM) degrees in Piano Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, respectively, both with significant scholarships. Dr. Dong also holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree from the University of Arizona, where she studied with John Milbauer and Jon Nakamatsu on a full scholarship.
In this masterclass, Dr. Dong will:
- Provide personalized guidance and technical advice to participants
- Share he valuable experiences from international competitions and performances
- Offer insightful analysis and demonstrations of selected pieces based on participants' needs

Dr.Dong Minjun piano recital
Dr. Dong, a current piano lecturer at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, boasts extensive international performance experience and an impressive academic background. She has given numerous solo recitals across the East and West Coasts of the United States and in Mexico City, and has performed Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Arizona Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Dong began her piano studies at the age of 4 and started studying under the renowned piano educator Yang Hanguo at the age of 7. She earned her Bachelor's (BM) and Master's (MM) degrees in Piano Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, respectively, both with substantial scholarships. In 2017, she received a full scholarship to attend the University of Arizona, where she studied with John Milbauer and Jon Nakamatsu and earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree.
In this recital, Dr. Dong will present a selection of classic piano works, showcasing her extraordinary technical prowess and unique artistic sensibility, promising an unforgettable evening of music.
