1. Education Background

Ashley is a dedicated piano teacher with over five years of teaching experience, and she has achieved outstanding results in her teaching career. Her students frequently excel in piano competitions and achieve remarkable results in ABRSM examinations. In 2023, four of her students were accepted into the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory Division. Ashley not only excels in nurturing and shaping musical talents but also imparts in-depth music theory knowledge alongside piano techniques.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1999, Ashley earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, studying under Alexander Shtarkman. She then obtained her Master of Music degree from the Mannes School of Music with a high scholarship, studying under the legendary pianist Ann Schein. Ashley began learning piano at the age of five and has been guided by numerous masters, including Meng-Chieh Liu, Gwhyneth Chen, Jerome Rose, Alexandre Moutouzkine, Sandra Shapiro, and Spencer Myer.

2. Personal Experience

Ashley has achieved excellent results in various domestic and international competitions, including winning first prize in the Taipei City Music Competition and second prize in the International Youth Chopin Piano Competition in Vietnam. In the Vietnam competition, she was praised by the judges and the master Dang Thai Son as a "musical young pianist." In 2023, she was awarded the Taiwanese Chapter of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University Alumni Society award.

Ashley actively participates in various music events and has performed in Asia, North America, and Europe. She held her first piano solo recital in 2014 and attended the “Sound in China” Piano Festival in 2015 as a Taiwanese representative. During this period, she received guidance from professors at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Central Conservatory of Music and performed at the opening and closing concerts of the festival. She was also interviewed by CTV and The Straits Times.

In 2017, she was invited by the dean of the Music Department at Guangxi Normal University to hold a solo recital and participate in academic exchanges, and she performed at the opening ceremony of the Guangxi Piano Competition. In the same year, in August, she participated in the Cross-Strait Youth Academic Forum and visited and performed at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. In 2018, Ashley received a scholarship to participate in the Berkshire High Peaks Music Festival in the United States. In 2019, she was invited to perform at the Pianale International Piano Festival in Germany and received guidance from professors including Yong Hi Moon, Ogawa Noriko, and Friedemann Rieger. In July 2022, she held a solo recital at the National Concert Hall in Taiwan.
