Maggie Jin is a dedicated music teacher, pianist, and vocalist based in New York. She began studying piano at four and voice at thirteen, earning numerous awards in international piano and local voice competitions. Maggie holds a Bachelor of Music degree from NYU. During her college years, Maggie started her music education career, teaching piano and voice. Her students have been accepted into prestigious institutions like the Manhattan School of Music. In 2021, she served as the music director and vocal coach for NYU's production of "Dear Evan Hansen." In May 2022, Maggie completed the Orff Music Education Level 1 certification and received her New York State Music Teacher Certification in October 2022. The following year, she was the keyboard player and vocal coach for Columbia University's musical "The Murder of Hanging Garden." Currently, Maggie holds a Master of Arts degree and is pursuing a Master of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She serves as a studio lessons teacher under Teachers College, Columbia University and Music To Your Home, and as a vocal coach and special music education consultant for Every Voice Choir (EVC). She has performed twice with EVC at Carnegie Hall. Additionally, she was the co-president of the Columbia University Teachers College Chinese Students and Scholars Association from 2023 to 2024 and teaches elementary music at the Teachers College Community School.
